About Gretchen Bossio

Gretchen hails from the beautiful Pacific Northwest along with her husband and two young children. Before transitioning to life as a stay at home mom, Gretchen worked in sales and marketing while earning her Masters in Management and Organizational Leadership. Now her days are focused on managing meal plans and nap times while organizing her sewing stash and children's toy bins. My oh my, how life changes in the blink of an eye! Gretchen writes frequently about natural parenting, becoming more environmentally conscience, her affinity for thrifted treasures, and hopes of making it out of yoga pants each day on her blog That Mama Gretchen (www.thatmamagretchen.com).

Mamas Love Mason Jars

mason jar

Check Easter baskets off your list! Now it’s time for Mother’s Day! Mason jars are what they call “old school” – my grandma had about a billion and used them for everything. Mostly because that’s all she had on hand. She wasn’t doing it to be chic or creative. Mason jars just fit the bill […]

No More Mother’s Day Cards

mother's day journal

Three years ago my husband (with the prompting of his very wise mother-in-law) started a fabulous tradition. It’s frugal and priceless – the best kind of traditions – and gives him some major husband points! This is my Mother’s Day Journal. Every year on Mother’s Day my husband sits down with our two kids and […]

Next month a little dream of mine is coming true … a backyard fence! With an almost two and four year old, they don’t take kindly to being cooped up inside all day so spring and our fence is coming in the nick of time. As gardening supplies have been popping up in the stores, […]

Let’s talk baby #3 today! What I may “need”, what I want and what I’ve come to determine is pure poppycock in the realm of baby necessities. No, no – not expecting over here! Deep sigh of relief I’m sure from my husband who occasionally reads my posts. But, not expecting doesn’t keep me from […]

What I Wish I Would Have Known About My Birth Control Options

I vividly remember my first appointment with an OBGYN. We were discussing birth control and she handed me a pamphlet with a range of options. We discussed the benefits and risks of each one and I landed on a basic birth control pill. It seemed simple enough, take one each day at the same time […]

Review: Apple TV

apple tv

I am by no means a techie – I don’t always understand the nitty gritty details of new fangled things, but the Apple TV caught my interest right away. You see, over the last 5 years I’ve been on a slippery slope of all things Apple – first an iPhone, then MacBook. My husband got […]

50 Baby Names Inspired By Disney

If I was a betting mama, I’d say we might see a spike of little girls named Elsa in the coming year; maybe even little boys named Sven or Kristoff. As with most celebrities (and I think many Disney characters fall into that category), the general population trends after them. And with good reason! Especially […]
