About Gretchen Bossio

Gretchen hails from the beautiful Pacific Northwest along with her husband and two young children. Before transitioning to life as a stay at home mom, Gretchen worked in sales and marketing while earning her Masters in Management and Organizational Leadership. Now her days are focused on managing meal plans and nap times while organizing her sewing stash and children's toy bins. My oh my, how life changes in the blink of an eye! Gretchen writes frequently about natural parenting, becoming more environmentally conscience, her affinity for thrifted treasures, and hopes of making it out of yoga pants each day on her blog That Mama Gretchen (www.thatmamagretchen.com).

Fancy Apple Water

fancy apple water

I’ve got a parenting faux pas to confess — my daughter loves juice. It’s not the end of the world, obviously, but I do regret introducing juice when I did. We’ve been slowly cutting back and I’ve been promoting water to help her stay hydrated during these warmer months, but girlfriend thinks water is lame […]

Cast Iron Enchilada Bake

cast iron enchilada bake

Once upon a time I was low on grocery money and high on random pantry ingredients and fridge leftovers. Often times this will result in breakfast for dinner or a mix and match meal. But, one night, the magic must have flew into my kitchen because something truly wonderful occurred. It’s called Cast Iron Enchilada […]

The Best Beach Toys

The Best Beach Toys

At just shy of 2 years old, my son experienced the beach for the first time. It was love at first sight and he’s been chattering about the beach ever since! I totally overgrammed our trip, but it was absolutely beautiful – if you haven’t visited the Washington Coast – get it on your bucket […]

Simple Photo Memory Keeping With Project Life

annette spaniel pl

I take thousands of photos of our family. Well, mostly my children. So far this year, we have a huge 8,000 according to iPhoto. They’re all priceless snapshots of memories we’ve made and moments that I’ll cherish forever. But, they don’t do a lot of good sitting in iPhoto and I probably print 1/100th of […]

Moms Who Inspire V.4

It’s been much too long since I introduced a round of Moms Who Inspire . This series is a glance at those mamas who encourage, create, love life and show the ins and outs of true motherhood. Even the messy, real stuff. It’s easy to relate to them and share an internet smile — they’re […]

So … welcome to Christmas in July! Here are some of my favorite things that are finding their way onto my wish list right now! Christmas […]

Favorites For Your Little Firefighter

fire truck

My daughter’s 4th birthday isn’t until this fall, but she’s already dreaming up her party theme and a list of gifts that she would like. Top of her list … a race car, play dough and a fire truck! I think her love of firefighters began in February when our homeschool group visited our local […]

Breakfast Burrito Bowl

I’ve always been a breakfast lover. Morning, noon, night – breakfast food seems to hit the spot. Carbs and sweets are usually my favorite so whether it’s waffles, french toast, pancakes or cinnamon rolls, sign me up for a hearty serving … maybe even seconds! Lately though, I’ve been curbing the sugar fest and opting […]

Driving Sane – Tunes for the Whole Family

owl city

I love Raffi as much as the next mom. Cheery, seasonal, inducing preschooler laughter … it’s fun. But somedays, it’s annoying. Right? I mean, I’m not the only one who gets down on the “Wheels On the Bus”? To balance the rhyming and silly songs I’ve been sneakily encouraging my kids to like mama music. […]
