How to Take a Good Driver’s License Photo (VIDEO)

Welcome to “How to” Monday! If you have been following our how-to videos for the past few months, you would know that some are serious and others are just plain fun. Sure, we want to help everyone with different tips, but sometimes, we just can’t take ourselves too seriously. We are goofy, we are silly and sometimes we just can’t help ourselves with our videos.

That being said, last week was my birthday and just happened to be the year that my driver’s license expired. Yep, every four years in Illinois, I have a drag my old bones down to the DMV and get a new license complete with a brand new photo. That, my friends, is a lot of pressure because we use our driver’s license a lot and no one want to pull it out at the airport, grocery store, liquor store (yeah, right!!), and occasional “traffic incident” with an awful photo. You could be looking at one bad hair and makeup day for 4 – 12 years depending on which state you live in.

So, to help everyone out, today we are showing you “How to Take a Good Driver’s License Photo”…

You are so cute! My last picture was taken when I was 8 months pregnant. What a rip off! The weight I put on my license was about…oh…60 lbs. less than what I really weighed. (They will never know I am not a stick right!?) I wish they would just take 3 and let you pick the best one. Better yet, let you bring one with you :)

  2. Thanks, Crissa! Yes, it would be awesome if we could just bring our own photo but I have a sneaky suspicion that many people would use Photoshop to make themselves look way better to the point that it wouldn’t look like them. I’m just happy that they don’t weigh us at the DMV. ;)
