It’s Yoga Month!

Did you know September is National Yoga Month?

Well, it is! And it’s totally something you can enjoy with your children! The benefits are amazing … I mean, because who doesn’t want to instill a sense of inner peace and calmness into their child? And I love that I can take a pause and refocus alongside my munchkins. Deep breathes everyone!

In celebration of yoga month I wanted to share a few of my favorite kid-friendly yoga products! Take a peek …

lazy lizard yoga

The Lazy Lizards Yoga DVD is one of our favorites – my three year old adores all the animal poses and often adds her own side effects :)

yoga mat

A perfect size for your little yogi, The Little Yoga Mat is cute and classy with the a choice of lotus flowers or suns.

The beauty of yoga is that it is so simple. Don’t have a mat? Have your child choose a bright colored towel. Don’t have a video? Look up a few poses online (or imagine your own) and take turns being the yoga teacher with your child. Don’t have a specific yoga music? Anything instrumental will do. See? Yoga can be loved and enjoyed with minimal effort. And that’s totally my kind of activity. And the calm you’ll all experience … priceless.
