We are really excited about the new company Nuna and what they have brought to the US. While this popular Dutch company is known worldwide, they are new to us this year and they are making a splash with some really unique baby products.
The Nuna Leaf is a child seat that was inspired by the carefree float of a leaf on a breeze. The distinctive design, unique features and grow-with-your-child capabilities is going to make this a very popular chair.
We all know a bouncer bounces and a rocker rocks but what we love about the Leaf is that it sways. That’s right this baby lounger peacefully sways from side to side to calm your baby or lull her to sleep. What’s better yet is it is motor-free. No loud motor or clicking or buzzing or vibrating – just peaceful swaying. Seriously, I think I need an adult-size Leaf in my office right about now.
This revolutionary chair starts out as a gentle swaying infant seat for your newborn but with a whopping 130 lb weight limit, it will definitely grow with your child. We know, we know, we couldn’t believe it either. It may not look like it can hold 130 lbs from afar but believe me, it can! This is one sturdy chair! Unlike a bouncy seat that you banish to the basement around 6-7 months, the Leaf will remain a fixture in your home much longer. Our 3 1/2 year old tester loves hanging out in the chair with a book (or ipad – who are we kidding!) and even the 6 and 8 year old can relax in it.
The seat features a mesh back for breathability and airflow and the organic cotton insert is removable and washable. The seat has two settings that are easily changed by the click of a lever – swaying and stationary.
The Leaf comes in three colors – bisque, navy and twilight – and retails for $219. Yes, while that sounds expensive, think of how much longer than the Leaf will be used rather than a 4-5 month bouncy chair.

My niece was recently diagnosed with Rhett Syndrome. She has no control of her body and at this point, my cousin can only lay her down on the floor or the typical bouncer that she outgrew a long time ago…lol! This is EXACTLY what we have been looking for! Our poor little guy has always been a big boy (currently 21 mos and almost 34lbs and almost 3ft tall!) and the seats with harnesses are just too small for him. He was so sad (as was Mommy) when we couldn’t use his swing anymore for this reason. This would give him such a comfy place to hangout for quite awhile! Thank you for this opportunity!

why do I want to win the Nuna Leaf? There are so many reasons. 1) my baby seems fussy in all the bouncers and swings I have tried, I would love to try this and see if she likes it since it is so different than anything else. 2) I love that there is no motor so it doesn’t make noise and waste batteries. 3) I love that it holds as much as it does. Since having my baby, who is 8 weeks old, my other daughters try and go in her baby swings/bouncers. I am so scared they will break it. If I had the leaf I wouldn’t have to worry. Plus it is something that will be used for a long time, not just a few months like the other swings/bouncers.

i love it! my 10 month old would absolutely love this seat too. When he is calm enough to want to sit still and stop crawling and standing on everything, anyway. It is so great that you can use it for sooo long. I loved our bouncer, but we were only able to use it for a few months. We love our swing too, but he has almost outgrown it. this might be the answer to helping our little one take naps, once he officially is too big for his swing. (he sleeps great at night, but during the daytime needs a little extra push to sleep)

I would love this Leaf! I’m not crazy about swings that scream BABY! This does not have all the bells and whistles that parents think their baby needs. This is such a peaceful, natural swing. Very Zen like. Think about it, your baby is so content just rocking in your arms. This is just what this swing does. It can be used for years too! It definitely got my attention! I would love to win the Leaf because for one, it is a pretty cool piece of equipment. Hands down! For two, we need every piece of free baby gear we can get our hands on. We gave away/sold all of our baby gear items and clothes as well as our crib thinking that we were not having any more children. Low and behold, we are now expecting our third boy in June. With the new taxes and needing to find a new place to live (a 2 bedroom condo will not work for 5 people), we can’t afford to buy anything for this baby. So, this would give us a huge jumpstart on at least getting something for this poor kid to have!

The design of this product is what initially grabbed my attention and I’m impressed with the fact that it can continue to be useful past the first few months!
