Headed somewhere this summer where the kids will no doubt be looking at you for some form of entertainment while you reach your final destination. It’s inevitable…the wait time to get somewhere but while you’re thinking, “just get me there fast,” you can also pack a few fun travel games and activities that will have them entertained from point A to point B with little help from you. While I can’t promise you won’t hear, “Are we there yet?”, I do know that they’ll throughly enjoy the journey much more than if they were just watching a DVD the whole time.

Baby Gizmo Blogs, a
I’m seriously pimping this sticker book anywhere I can think, it has made my last two overeseas flights bearable and is the only thing that will get my toddler to play independantly:

What makes this book different is that the backgrounds are really just abstract splashes of color. So, you can make a picture that makes sense in nearly any viewing plane – upside down, the book can make a totally different scene, because which shapes appear fish-like will change. It is so open-ended and stimulating, I can’t even say.
Honestly, I bought two back-up copies, just in case the Kid manages to lose all the stickers despite my best efforts and it ever goes out-of-print.
Thanks so much for sharing Laura! I’ll have to look it up
