Mountain Buggy Duet – Slimmest Side by Side Yet

Mountain Buggy announced their Duet at the ABC Show this week. The Duet is going to be the slimmest side-by-side on the market available. This double stroller will only be 25 inches across! That’s right – only 25 inches!! The narrowest strollers right now are 29″ – so this is BIG NEWS!
Each seat will still be about 11 1/2 inches wide – so it will still fit your children comfortably. Plus, the Duet will have the ability to take TWO infant car seats or TWO carrycots. So cool, right?!? A narrow side-by-side stroller AND it takes two car seats! Unbelievable! So, now we just wait until 2011 to see the final product. Oh yeah, it will retail for $599.

It would be reallly cool if it offered a 3rd toddler seat attachment as well, like the valco!
How heavy is this stroller?
Since the Duet was not the final product, we did not get a specific weight. I would guess it will end up being 32-35 lbs. But that is just a guess. -Hollie

WOW THANK GOD!!! I have been looking for a double stroller side-by-side for ever. They all are 29″ and my elevator is only 28″. I cant wait for it to come out. I hope its January 2011. Any idea anyone?

Websites are now saying shipping in May 2011, and although there’s no Valco-style toddler seat, a UK website is reporting there will be a toddler board attachment for the back that can attach behind either seat.
Any idea when this will be available in NZ?
Also does it fold like a traditional Mountain Buggy?
No word on when the Duet will be available yet. We heard Q2 of 2011 but no official date yet. – Hollie
