The new Fisher Price 3-in-1 Smart Sports is like a Wii for your preschooler! Okay, a Wii with only 9 game choices – but our preschooler testers loved it! 3-in-1 Smart Sports is a TV-interactive system that lets kids choose from three sports – baseball, tennis or golf for plenty of physical activity and learning fun. There are nine interactive games (three for each sport) that keep your child thinking while keeping them active.
The game has a main rubbery grip controller perfect for little hands that comes with a baseball bat, golf club and tennis racket attachments made out of soft, kid-friendly foam. That’s not to say it won’t hurt if a sibling gets whacked in the head for standing too close. Not that has happened to us…ummm…okay moving on. We love that the grip controller has a safety strap for their wrist in case the swinging gets out of control. Some of our testers really got into the game and we are glad that the safety strap kept the controller from flying into our television. There is a storage dock to keep the attachments along with the grip
controller all in one place when not in use.
The Smart Sports variety of games teaches kids uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers and counting, addition and subtraction, shapes, matching and motor skills. The adding and subtracting was better for our older kids but our three and four year olds loved the letters, shapes and counting.
The system is super easy to set up. It’s pretty much a plug and play game! Overall, our little ones LOVED the Smart Sports. It kept them busy for hours! Since some of our little testers had older siblings who didn’t like to share their Wii with the little ones, this was a perfect alternative for a game at their own level for just them. They even bragged to their siblings that they have a “Wii for little kids”!
