Fisher Price has started celebrating the Little People® 50th Birthday with the introduction of two special limited edition commemorative 50th birthday Little People playsets:
Little People® 50th Birthday Play ‘n Go Farm:

Take a trip back in time with the Little People Play ‘n Go Farm playset, which has been designed to reflect the classic look of the original Play Family FarmTM first introduced in 1968, complete with retro-style figures! The playset includes farmer, sheep and cow figures, tractor vehicle, three connectable fence pieces and water trough play piece. Everything stores inside the collectible tin take-along barn that features a handle and open/close top. Retails for $17.49.
This Play ‘n Go Farm is a much smaller version missing many of the great included accessories such as the silo and some of the animals/characters of the original 1968 farm but is still cute as ever.
Little People® 50th Birthday Play ‘n Go School:

Housed in a nostalgic, collectible take-along tin with a handle and open/close top, the Play ‘n Go School is designed to resemble the original Little People School House first introduced in 1971. The playset includes retro-styled teacher and pupil figures, dog, teacher’s desk and chair, student desk and spinning merry-go-round for recess. Retails for $17.49.
The Play ‘n Go School is adorable and brings back the memories of the original 1971 school. (My kids still play with the original version since grandma has kept it in great condition at her house all these years.) This new 50th Birthday edition is quite a bit smaller and we desperately miss the magnetic alphabet letters and the chalkboard feature that came with the original but kids still have fun with it.
