I bought a crib tent when my daughter was born-- not to keep the baby in, but to keep the cats out. As the baby ended up in our bed within a week-- she would not sleep any other way, there was no wearing her out-- it proved useless. I passed it on to a good friend and fellow cat-lover when her son was born...

...and, not only did it keep the cats out, it kept the hyperactive little darling in. By the time the little master left the crib, the tent was in tatters, but it did keep him from killing himself for a good two years.

Now my 11-month old son has learned to climb his crib. Empty except for him-- no toys, no books, no bumper pad. Nothing. He grabs the top rail and walks up the bars!!! We're getting in the car and driving to as many places as we have to to get another one of those wonderful inventions before the little 'darling' runs out of luck.
